This role is for one of the Weekday's clients. The salary range for this position is between Rs 400,000 to Rs 600,000 per annum (i.e., INR 4-6 LPA). The minimum experience required for this role is 5 years. The location of the job is in Uppugal, Hyderabad, Telangana. This is a full-time position. We are looking for a responsible and experienced DCS Panel Operator to manage and monitor batch processes in a chemical or manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate should be well-versed in DCS operations and committed to ensuring production quality, process safety, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Confirm batch charging instructions with operators and provide necessary approvals. - Ensure all process records are accurately maintained in batch cards and verify entries against panel readings when required. - Review and validate critical process data such as quantity charged, pressure, flow, temperature, and unloading details. - Continuously monitor the process, conduct visual checks, and coordinate with field operators and shift in-charge to confirm process conditions and identify any abnormalities. - Maintain effective communication with the shift team throughout batch processing. - Identify and report deviations promptly to prevent rework, quality issues, or delivery delays. - Verify labeling details such as batch numbers and lot numbers prior to dispatch or packaging. - Ensure readiness of equipment and safety checks before initiating tanker loading/unloading. - Keep accurate records in shift logbooks, including safety observations, quality updates, equipment performance, and process modifications. - Adhere to and promote HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) practices across all operations. - Archive batch data from DCS systems systematically to enable retrieval as needed. - Maintain an updated list of interlocks and safeguard them from unauthorized usage. - Follow Management of Change (MOC) protocols for any changes in batch size, interlocks, or operating parameters. - Ensure operating vessels, pipelines, valves, and associated equipment are in proper working condition and synchronized with the DCS system. - Coordinate with the instrumentation team for updates, calibration, and adjustments to DCS settings and interlocks. - Report and assist in resolving process deviations, breakdowns, or maintenance issues with the relevant departments. - Ensure all special measuring instruments are calibrated and report any discrepancies for correction. - Operate the panel strictly as per instrumentation and safety guidelines. - Adhere to waste management protocols and environmental compliance standards. - Participate in safety talks, emergency response drills, mock drills, and other job-specific training programs. - Monitor production processes to avoid potential failures and enhance efficiency. - Train junior staff and operators on SOPs, Work Instructions, and HSE procedures. - Ensure full compliance with safety standards and operating procedures in accordance with ISO and regulatory requirements. - Prepare detailed production reports covering pre, during, and post-batch processing activities. - Send process and finished product samples to Quality Control and incorporate feedback for further processing or dispatch. - Monitor reactor conditions and escalate any issues to the maintenance team. - Complete batch cards accurately during each stage of production. - Ensure that all plant safety protocols are strictly followed.
