Data Stage Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL jobs using IBM InfoSphere DataStage and Talend.
• Develop ETL workflows for data extraction, transformation, loading, and integration from multiple source systems.
• Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database operations.
• Work with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or PostgreSQL.
• Develop and maintain reusable ETL components, job sequences, transformations, and workflows.
• Perform data cleansing, data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
• Troubleshoot ETL job failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize ETL job performance and improve data processing efficiency.
• Work with data warehouse concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration frameworks.
• Support data migration, production deployments, and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, QA teams, and other developers.
• Prepare technical documentation, mapping documents, and unit test cases.
• Follow data governance, security, and development standards.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with

  IBM InfoSphere DataStage

• Good knowledge of ETL design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, subqueries, aggregations, and query optimization.

• Understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and data integration concepts.
• Experience with data validation, reconciliation, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of job scheduling, dependency management, and production support.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into ETL solutions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
