ROLE OVERVIEW

Every lending decision we make starts with a model. As our Data Scientist, you will own the intelligence

behind Apollo Cash: who we lend to, how we price risk, how we spot fraud before it happens, and how

we collect responsibly. You will work side by side with the Credit and Business teams, and your models

will go live in front of real customers, at scale.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Protect the book: Partner with the Credit and Business teams to monitor and mitigate risk exposure

across lending products.

• Build the brains of underwriting: Develop AI-powered underwriting models, risk assessment

frameworks and fraud detection algorithms.

• See risk before it arrives: Design early warning systems and predictive risk models from

operational and financial data.

• Unlock alternative data: Apply alternative data strategies to sharpen our business rule engines and

credit underwriting.

• Raise the bar on credit decisions: Build and optimise AI-driven credit algorithms for faster, more

accurate risk assessment.

• Ship GenAI to production: Work with LLMs, RAG and other AI tools to develop, test and deploy

AI-powered lending solutions.

• Automate at scale: Use AI and machine learning to automate underwriting, collections, pricing and

operations.

• Stay compliant by design: Ensure every model and product meets RBI guidelines and regulatory

frameworks.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Experience: 4+ years in AI/ML, data science, risk management or credit analytics, at an NBFC or

digital lender with a Personal Loan product.

• Modelling depth: Proven expertise in machine learning, predictive analytics and financial

modelling.

• Technical strength: Strong Python and SQL, with hands-on experience in AI/ML frameworks such

as TensorFlow, PyTorch and Scikit-learn.

• Engineering exposure: Experience with API integration and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure).

• Credit expertise: Deep understanding of credit underwriting, credit policy drafting and credit risk

management.

• Sharp mind: Analytical, detail-obsessed and a natural problem solver.

• Influence: Clear communicator who can manage stakeholders and present insights with confidence.

• Ownership: Juggle multiple priorities, make the call and deliver on time.
