Job Title: Linux Administrator Experience: 6 months – 2 years Location: Bangalore Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Linux Administrator with 6 months to 2 years of hands-on experience in managing Linux-based systems. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and optimizing our Linux infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance. Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.). Manage user accounts, permissions, and file systems. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, and networks. Apply patches, updates, and security configurations. Manage system backups and recovery. Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash, Python, or similar). Support deployment and maintenance of applications in production and development environments. Ensure server and network security through proper configuration and monitoring. Collaborate with development, network, and security teams for system optimization. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). 6 months – 2 years of experience as a Linux/System Administrator. Proficiency in Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu). Basic understanding of networking (DNS, DHCP, IP routing, firewalls). Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Python preferred). Knowledge of system monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.). Familiarity with virtualization and cloud platforms (VMware, AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus. Understanding of DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins, Git) will be an advantage. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Preferred Certifications (optional): RHCSA / RHCE (Red Hat Certified System Administrator / Engineer) CompTIA Linux+ AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (added advantage)
