CPU Core Validation Engineer

As a CPU Core Validation Engineer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be a part of the CPU Validation team within the CPU organization, focusing on the validation of CPU core pipeline architecture and micro architecture features. **Roles and Responsibilities:** - Develop a detailed test plan considering the IP architecture and micro architecture features. - Collaborate with CPU design and verification teams to create CPU bring-up and functional validation test plans for the IP. - Establish validation methodology and test contents for emulation during pre-Si phase and on Silicon. - Coordinate with SOC bring-up teams and software teams to strategize CPU core features bring-up and end-to-end validation. - Investigate and troubleshoot failures on Silicon. - Create test contents and testing strategies to support CPU validation on silicon. - Partner with CPU verification teams to replicate silicon failures on emulators and FPGAs. - Engage with the design team to propose and architect new debug features for enhancing future CPU bring-ups. **Minimum Requirements:** - BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronics Engineering with more than 5 years of experience. - 3+ years of experience in Silicon Validation and bring-up. - Proficiency in implementing assembly, C/C++ language embedded firmware. - Familiarity with software tool chain including assemblers, C compilers, Makefiles, and source code control tools. **Preferred Requirements:** - Strong understanding of micro-processor architecture, particularly in areas like Cache Coherence, Memory ordering and Consistency, Prefetching, Branch Prediction, Renaming, Speculative execution, and Address Translation/Memory Management. - Knowledge of Random Instruction Sequencing (RIS) and testing at various design levels for ensuring correctness. - Experience in writing Test plans and Assembly code. - Ability to independently develop and work on a block/unit of the design.
