As the Engineering Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological foundation of our platform and driving its development at scale. This is a high-impact role where you’ll collaborate with the founding team, lead the engineering efforts, and build scalable web and mobile technologies. Responsibilities Take charge of architecture, design, and development of our platform using technologies like React, Node.js, MongoDB, MySQL, Firebase, Elastic Search, and Supabase Implement API integrations and ensure robust, scalable solutions across web and mobile platforms. Recruit, and lead a high performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation Stay up-to-date with the latest trends (eg, gamification, AI, automated learning tools etc) and best practices in technology, to make us future ready. Utilize data analysis and reporting tools to track and measure technology initiatives. Manage sprint planning, ensuring timely delivery of milestones while maintaining quality. Collaborate with stakeholders and external partners, including vendors, contractors, and consultants, to ensure the technology strategy is executed effectively. Build and maintain the technical infrastructure at the highest grade of security and reliability. Qualifications 4-8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on consumer-facing applications in early stage B2C high growth startups (0-1 stage). Has a proven track record of building products from scratch, taking them from concept to launch, and scaling to a substantial user base. Possesses strong technical expertise, with a focus on backend development over frontend, and proficiency in modern web, mobile, and backend technologies. Thrives in fast-paced environments by taking charge, anticipating needs, and driving projects through completion. Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading technical teams. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling effective cross-functional teamwork. Forward-thinking approach and a strong focus on customer-centric solutions. .
