Conversion UX Strategist – Landing Pages & Marketing Funnels

Job Description

We are looking for a Conversion UX Strategist to research business offerings, understand target audiences, and plan high-converting landing pages and marketing funnels for digital advertising campaigns.

This role is ideal for candidates who understand user behaviour, conversion-focused page structure, customer decision-making, and marketing funnel strategy. You will analyse a client's business, products or services, target audience, competitors, and campaign objectives to develop a clear landing page strategy that encourages visitors to take action.

The role focuses on research, conversion strategy, user journey planning, landing page structure, content flow, and AI-assisted UI planning. It is not a conventional website design or web development role. Your primary responsibility is to determine what a landing page should communicate, how its sections should be arranged, what objections need to be addressed, and how visitors should move toward the desired conversion.

You will prepare structured strategy documents for client review and approval before the design and development stages begin.

Key Responsibilities

• Research client businesses, products, services, target audiences, and campaign objectives before planning landing pages.
• Analyse customer needs, pain points, buying motivations, decision-making behaviour, and common objections.
• Study competitor websites, landing pages, offers, messaging, and conversion approaches to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Understand campaign traffic sources, including Google Ads, paid social media, and other digital marketing channels.
• Plan conversion-focused landing page journeys based on the campaign goal, target audience, and intended action.
• Define landing page structure, section hierarchy, content flow, messaging priorities, and calls to action.
• Plan essential conversion elements such as headlines, value propositions, benefits, trust signals, testimonials, proof points, FAQs, and lead forms.
• Identify potential friction points that may prevent visitors from enquiring, booking a consultation, submitting a form, or making a purchase.
• Develop strategies to address customer doubts, communicate value clearly, and improve the visitor's path to conversion.
• Create structured landing page strategy documents in Google Docs or similar tools for internal review and client approval before design begins.
• Use AI-assisted research and UI planning tools to explore page structures, content layouts, wireframe concepts, and alternative conversion approaches.
• Prepare clear section-by-section briefs that explain the purpose of each section, the key message, required content, and intended user action.
• Collaborate with copywriters, UI/UX designers, web developers, and digital advertising teams to communicate the approved strategy.
• Ensure that landing page recommendations align with the advertising message, audience intent, offer, and campaign objectives.
• Review proposed landing page layouts against the approved strategy and identify gaps in messaging, user flow, trust elements, and conversion logic.
• Suggest opportunities for A/B testing, alternative headlines, calls to action, offers, and page structures where appropriate.
• Use available campaign or website performance data, such as conversion rates, form submissions, and visitor behaviour, to identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain clear documentation of research findings, strategic decisions, client feedback, and approved landing page plans.

Experience

Relevant experience in conversion rate optimisation (CRO), UX strategy, landing page planning, marketing funnels, digital marketing strategy, or conversion-focused website planning is preferred.

Candidates with experience in landing page strategy, user journey mapping, customer research, wireframing, conversion copy structure, or AI-assisted UI planning will have an advantage.
