Content Writer and Editor

Key Responsibilities

• Media Materials: Write high-impact press releases, media alerts, company bios, backgrounders, and pitch notes for journalists.
• Thought Leadership: Ghostwrite byline articles, executive op-eds, LinkedIn posts, and keynote speeches for client leadership teams.
• Digital & Social Content: Create engaging blog posts, website copy, case studies, newsletters, and social media captions.
• Research & Fact-Checking: Conduct deep-dive research, analyze industry trends, and interview clients or subject matter experts to gather accurate facts.
• Messaging Consistency: Ensure all written content aligns with the client’s brand voice, key messaging pillars, and crisis communications guidelines.
• Editing & Proofreading: Review, edit, and polish your own work and team drafts to guarantee zero errors, strong hooks, and AP style (or house style) compliance.
• Collaboration: Partner with PR account teams, media relations specialists, and graphic designers to package stories for maximum pickup.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience writing in a PR agency, journalism, or corporate communications role.
• Writing Skills: Exceptional grasp of grammar, storytelling, and the ability to adapt your tone from formal press writing to conversational digital copy.
• Media Savvy: Understanding of how journalists and editors work, what makes a strong news angle, and how to write a compelling pitch subject line.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with AP style, basic SEO principles, CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress), and wire distribution services (e.g., PR Newswire, Business Wire).

Soft Skills

• Agility: Ability to turn around urgent press releases or statements under tight media deadlines.
• Curiosity: Eagerness to dive into diverse client industries (from tech and finance to lifestyle and B2B).
• Receptivity: Openness to constructive feedback from clients and senior account leads.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
