As a Senior Developer at TransUnion, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge solutions using various technologies such as Java, Big Data frameworks, AI/ML concepts, and cloud platforms. Your expertise will be essential in shaping the architecture, development, and deployment of data-driven applications. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications using Java and related technologies. - Utilize Big Data technologies like Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, and Scala for processing and analyzing large datasets. - Develop data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and storage. - Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries across platforms such as BigQuery, Athena, Spark SQL, and Snowflake. - Create and manage RESTful APIs and microservices with Java full-stack technologies. - Employ Python for scripting, data analysis, and reporting purposes. - Contribute to the development and deployment of AI/ML models and solutions. - Deploy and oversee applications in cloud environments such as AWS and GCP. - Collaborate with diverse teams to deliver top-notch solutions. - Engage in code reviews, testing, and documentation activities. - Mentor junior developers and support team growth. - Keep abreast of the latest trends in Big Data, AI/ML, and cloud computing. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. - Enhance development processes and best practices. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - Over 8 years of software development experience. - Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming. - Extensive knowledge of Big Data technologies. - Strong SQL and database platform skills. - Proficient in Python programming for scripting and analysis. - Hands-on experience with Java full-stack development and Spring Boot. - Familiarity with Cloud environments and services like AWS and GCP. - Understanding of AI/ML concepts and algorithms. - Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes. - Experience with version control systems and agile methodologies. - Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities. In addition to the specified qualifications, candidates with a Master's degree in Computer Science, experience in containerization technologies, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, proficiency in data visualization tools, exposure to the R language, and understanding of big data security and governance will be preferred. Please note that this position is hybrid, requiring you to fulfill job responsibilities both virtually and in-person at a TransUnion office location for at least two days per week.
