Consultant-Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Job Summary:

The Cardiothoracic Surgeon will be responsible for performing advanced surgical procedures involving the Heart, Lungs and Thoracic Organs, with mandatory experience in Open-Heart Surgeries and Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG). The role demands strong clinical expertise, precision and the ability to manage complex cardiothoracic cases.

Role & responsibilities:

• Perform Open-Heart Surgeries, including Valve Repairs/Replacements and Simple Congenital Procedures.
• Perform Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG) Surgeries, both Elective and Emergency.
• Conduct Thoracic Surgeries involving Lungs, Mediastinum, Esophagus and Chest Wall.
• Evaluate patients and determine surgical/medical treatment approach.
• Establish & Maintain CTVS ICU.
• Provide pre-operative optimization and post-operative care to ensure best outcomes.
• Manage ICU-based postoperative patients and respond promptly to critical situations.
• Conduct detailed consultations and explain procedures, benefits, and risks.
• Manage complex cardiac and thoracic emergencies, ensuring timely intervention.
• Ensure compassionate, ethical and patient-centric care.
• Perform Vascular Surgeries.

Preferred candidate profile-

• MBBS+ MS (General Surgery)+ MCh/DNB (Cardiothoracic Surgery).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery.
• Mandatory hands-on experience in Open-Heart Surgery & CABG procedures.
• Valid medical registration and licenses.
• Excellent analytical, clinical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage emergencies and high-risk surgeries

Competencies

• Experience in minimally invasive or robotic cardiothoracic procedures.
• Strong decision-making and leadership abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
