About Adobe Guides: Adobe Guides is a document processor designed for writing and editing large or complex documents, including structured documents. The development engineer will be a part of a team working on the development of the Guides product. Responsibilities include developing new features, maintaining existing features, and being involved in all phases of development, from early specs and definition to release. The candidate is expected to be a hands-on problem solver proficient in analyzing, architecting, and implementing Node.js/Java-based high-quality software. Responsibilities: - This is an individual contributor position requiring hands-on product/solution development knowledge. - Conceptualization of a product, design, development, unit testing of application software, effort estimation, and risk analysis of a project are key responsibilities. - Implementation of new features, providing fixes/workarounds to problems, and contributing to current/future Adobe products on WIN platforms are part of the role. - Competence in providing quick solutions to problems, taking a product/component through the entire life cycle, improving space-time performance, and enhancing usability/reliability are essential. Requirements: - B.Tech/M.Tech degree in Computer Science from a reputed institute. - 2-5 years of experience in software development. - Excellent computer science fundamentals, understanding of architecture, design, and performance. - Good knowledge of the product security domain. - Proficiency in Java/Node.js, data structures, and algorithms. - Hands-on experience in writing reliable, maintainable, secure, performance-optimized, multi-platform, and world-ready code. - Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills. - Understanding of object-oriented design, product life cycles, and associated issues. - Technical depth in operating systems, computer architecture, and OS internals. - Exposure to Windows Programming, MFC, and WIN 32 preferred. - Experience in HTML, JavaScript is a plus.
