The engineer is responsible for the material development towards filtration, adsorption, and membrane technologies and concepts, as well as the planning and documentation of the validation of filter media. As a core team member, you will support Transportation and LS&E business units by developing filter media and adsorbents. Your main tasks will include the functional release of filter media for both internal and external customers, collaboration on customer projects in accordance with MANN+HUMMEL processes, participation in the market launch of IAM & OE filter elements, planning, evaluation, and documentation of benchmark studies, patent analysis, literature review, and documentation of new findings. You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining technical documentation of projects in the CIM Database, as per media release requirements, and conducting supplier screening for new media and production technologies. In terms of skills and competencies, you should have knowledge of customer processes and standards, an understanding of financial basics, knowledge of quality systems and standards, product know-how of M+H products, and proficiency in IT-tools such as MS Office, CIM DATABASE, SAP, and CAD. English language skills are also required. On a personal level, you should possess the ability to work under pressure, good listening and communication skills, team-building and motivational skills, the ability to work in a cross-functional team, customer orientation, entrepreneurial attitude, business acumen, and a sense of ownership and responsibility for project and company success.
