Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities of the Gynaecology & Obstetrics Department and ensure smooth workflow.
• Assist consultants and gynecologists in managing OPD, IPD, and OT schedules efficiently.
• Maintain accurate patient appointment records, consultation timings, and follow-up schedules.
• Ensure all patient files and reports are properly updated and available before consultations or procedures.
• Coordinate with the Front Office, Billing, and Pharmacy departments for seamless patient service.
• Monitor and ensure patient satisfaction through polite and professional interaction at all times.
• Assist in scheduling and organizing procedures, deliveries, and surgeries in coordination with the OT and nursing teams.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient data and ensure strict adherence to hospital protocols.
• Ensure the availability of required instruments, equipment, and supplies for gynecology and obstetrics procedures.
• Coordinate with nursing and housekeeping teams to maintain cleanliness and readiness of OPD and procedure rooms.
• Support consultants during ward rounds and maintain updated patient status reports.
• Establish effective communication between consultants, nursing staff, and administrative departments.
• Handle patient feedback, queries, and complaints with empathy and escalate issues appropriately.
• Assist in preparing departmental reports, census data, and audit-related documents as required.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, infection control practices, and NABH standards.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain high standards of punctuality, grooming, and professional behavior at all times.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Medical Superintendent, Head of Department, or Nursing Administration from time to time.
