CNC Programmer

A CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Programmer creates machine instructions by interpreting blueprints and 3D models to program machinery that cuts and shapes materials like metal and plastic. Key responsibilities include analyzing designs, writing G-code and M-code for CNC machines using CAD/CAM software, and troubleshooting issues during the manufacturing process to ensure high-quality parts are produced efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Program Creation: Develop precise G-code and M-code instructions for CNC machines based on engineering drawings, blueprints, and computer-aided design (CAD) models.
• Material and Tool Selection: Analyze technical drawings to determine the optimal dimensions, cutting tools, and machine speeds for the material being processed.
• Machine Setup and Adjustment: Program and set up CNC machines, then make necessary adjustments to settings to achieve the desired specifications for parts.
• Troubleshooting and Optimization: Identify and resolve issues that arise during the manufacturing process to ensure smooth production and maximize efficiency.
• Program Modification: Adapt existing CNC programs to work with different machines or to accommodate design changes.
• Quality Control: Ensure that the fabricated components meet high-quality standards and match the design specifications.
