Description
You will be part of the Cloud Platform Engineering team at Motorola Solutions, where you will play a crucial role in managing critical cloud infrastructure, reliability, security, and operational services for the company's public and hybrid cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. Your responsibilities will include supporting the cloud monthly budget and forecast process, collaborating with accounting, finance, and technical owners to manage consumption, chargeback, and savings. You will assist stakeholders in understanding their cloud spend based on their business roadmap and budgeted forecast. Monitoring cloud consumption at the account level to detect, investigate, and escalate anomalies and unplanned spikes will be a key part of your role. You will analyze, report, and derive meaningful insights from large raw datasets within cloud billing and usage tools. Collaboration with Cost Optimization Engineers to track resource utilization, define and execute relevant cloud commitment plans, and develop strategies to re-purpose freed up capacity will be essential. You will design, develop, and maintain reports and KPIs to provide detailed usage statistics of resources across the multi-cloud landscape. Your role will also involve evaluating and investigating data patterns to derive insightful knowledge that can inform strategic and operational decisions. Additionally, you will participate in business case development, cost modeling, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), and trade-off exercises. Participating in automating, integrating, and maturing the Cloud FinOps processes and data will be part of your responsibilities. Basic Requirements: - 4 years of experience - High-level knowledge of one of the cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) As part of the CPE BusinessOPs team, you will be responsible for Cloud FinOps at Motorola Solutions. The Cloud FinOps discipline encompasses Engineering, Finance, Procurement, and core FinOps, with a focus on understanding the business side of cloud spend and assisting product teams in making informed business decisions. Qualifications: - BE/B.Tech/MCA (or equivalent) - MBA degree preferred from a reputed college This role does not require any travel or relocation.
