Role Overview: Macquarie Asset Management (MAM) is a global asset manager focusing on delivering positive outcomes for clients, portfolio companies, and communities through a diverse range of investment solutions. As a Data Lead at Macquarie, you will drive the strategy, implementation, and stewardship of data platforms and pipelines across MAM. Your role will involve leading cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, automated, and auditable data solutions while ensuring data quality, compliance, and operational efficiency. This hands-on leadership position requires deep technical expertise in Python, GCP, and modern data pipeline architectures, as well as strong stakeholder engagement and mentoring capabilities. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining modern data pipeline architectures, driving data governance, and mentoring a growing team of Data engineers in Hyderabad. Key Responsibilities: - Lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, automated, and auditable data solutions - Ensure data quality, compliance, and operational efficiency - Design and deliver modern data pipeline architectures - Drive data governance initiatives - Mentor a growing team of Data engineers in Hyderabad - Collaborate closely with MAM's global engineering and digital teams on strategic programs Qualifications Required: - 12+ years of experience in data engineering or platform roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity - Strong hands-on experience with Python, Data pipelines, SQL, GCP, DBT Cloud, and data orchestration tools - Familiarity with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra), dashboarding (PowerBI, Tableau), and metadata management - Experience in financial services, particularly asset management or private markets, is highly desirable - Proven ability to lead Agile teams, manage delivery pipelines, and engage with cross-functional stakeholders About the Company: At Macquarie, diversity and empowerment are key aspects of our global financial services group.
