Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Female Classical Dance Teacher to join our school’s performing arts department. The ideal candidate should be proficient in one or more Indian classical dance forms (such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, Kuchipudi, or Mohiniyattam) and have a strong commitment to nurturing creativity, discipline, and artistic expression among students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach classical dance techniques, theory, and performance skills to students across different grade levels.
• Plan and conduct regular dance classes, rehearsals, and choreography sessions.
• Prepare students for annual functions, inter-school competitions, and cultural events.
• Encourage students to appreciate Indian classical dance heritage and develop confidence in stage performance.
• Maintain records of student progress and performance.
• Collaborate with other performing arts teachers to organize school events and cultural programs.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment in the dance studio.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Dance / Performing Arts or equivalent professional training in a recognized classical dance form.
• Proven experience as a classical dance instructor, preferably in a school or institution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and engage students of varying skill levels.
• Strong organizational and choreography skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification from a reputed dance academy or institution.
• Experience with both traditional and contemporary choreography.
• Ability to teach semi-classical or fusion dance styles (optional).
