Civil Lead / Project Directors

The principal responsibilities essentially include:

• To understand the project drawings as Plant Layout, Array layout, Sectional detail drawings, Architectural drawings, Land Survey, SOP, Method of statement, Specification etc.
• Execution knowledge of all civil activities of Switchyard, MCR Building, Plant Fencing, Substation, ICR FDN,IDT FDN, SG FDN & Piling, MMS, Module & all related Solar Plant activities.
• To ensure the construction work as per approved design and drawing for all phases of engineering construction relating to Execution of civil activities.
• Plan and co-ordinate all aspects of the construction process with the contractors.
• Reviewing of Site visit reports, suggesting rectification works, Implementation support, Commissioning activities, and system integration support.
• Conducting weekly review meeting at site with contractors to assess the construction progress as per schedule and to understand the bottlenecks of various activities.
• Perform all daily inspections and test of the scope to achieve the quality of construction indicated in the drawings and specifications for all works performed by the contractor.
• Cary out inspection for erection methodology and testing for all civil activities and ensures construction activity at the site are as per approved method statement and Field quality (FQP) and testing plan.
• To ensure the Execution, Erection and finishing of all civil activities as per approved FQP or OEM installation and testing guidelines.
• Appraising construction, O&M according to the Projects specifications and construction contracts.
• Ensure HSE aspects of the project.
• Provide advising critical activities, schedule updates, and related project needs.
• Ensure subcontractor performance to comply with contract requirements and issue periodic alerts to contractors to ensure the construction quality of the project.
• Review the project quality reports and punch list with appropriate mitigation techniques to get the compliance report from contractor for smooth handover of the project.
• Providing technical guidance to contractors whenever required for re-solving various complications of site with the close interaction with HO team.
• To ensure the proper co-ordination with contractors for submission of project deliverable on time.

Candidate Specification:

• Excellent communication skills with ability to produce high-quality technical reports within the predefined deadline.
• Strong technical knowledge with clear fundamentals.
• Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
• Strong management capabilities.
• Competent user of main Microsoft packages.
• An understanding of the key technical and commercial aspects of solar projects.

Desirable criteria:

• Previous experience working in Solar Industry.
• Willingness to travel for short-term or long-term project specific responsibilities within PAN India.
