Role Overview: As a Civil Engineer, you will be required to have a thorough knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices specific to the area of specialization indicated in the job title. You should be able to apply these principles effectively, operate standard engineering instruments, prepare plans for highways and bridges under supervision, perform computations related to engineering operations, and interpret civil engineering plans, maps, and specifications. Additionally, you will need to utilize computer technology for engineering applications, prepare accurate engineering proposals, papers, plans, and technical correspondence, understand and execute complex instructions, establish effective working relationships, communicate effectively in writing and presentations, and possess related capacities and abilities. Key Responsibilities: - Apply civil engineering principles and practices in the designated area of specialization - Operate standard engineering instruments proficiently - Prepare plans for highways and bridges under supervision - Perform computations necessary for standard engineering operations - Interpret civil engineering plans, maps, and specifications - Utilize computer technology for engineering applications - Prepare accurate engineering proposals, papers, plans, and technical correspondence - Understand and execute complex oral and written instructions - Establish and maintain effective working relationships - Write effectively and make oral presentations Qualifications Required: - Thorough knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices - Ability to operate all standard engineering instruments - Proficiency in preparing plans for highways and bridges under supervision - Competence in performing computations applied to standard engineering operations - Skill in reading and interpreting civil engineering plans, maps, and specifications - Familiarity with computer technology for engineering applications - Capability to prepare accurate engineering proposals, papers, plans, and technical correspondence - Understanding and execution of complex oral and written instructions - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships - Strong written and oral communication skills Please note that the benefits include health insurance, life insurance, and paid time off.
