Description
As a Cisco DNAC Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and supporting the Cisco DNAC environment. Your responsibilities will include: - **Cisco DNAC Expertise**: - Onboard, provision, and manage various network devices such as routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points through Cisco DNAC. - Utilize DNAC Assurance features to monitor network health, troubleshoot anomalies, and enhance reliability. - Design, implement, and operate Software-Defined Access (SDA) fabrics, including configuring border nodes, control plane nodes, and edge nodes. - Manage network segmentation using virtual networks (VNs) and integrate Cisco ISE for policy and identity-based access control. - Employ DNAC automation, including templates and workflows, to streamline network operations. - **Implementation & Operations**: - Lead the planning, deployment, and configuration of Cisco DNAC solutions and associated infrastructure. - Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices for Cisco DNAC management. - Conduct regular health checks, capacity planning, and proactive monitoring of the DNAC appliance and managed network components. - **Troubleshooting & Resolution**: - Serve as the escalation point for complex network issues using DNAC's analytics and troubleshooting toolset. - Perform thorough root cause analyses (RCAs) for critical network incidents involving performance, connectivity, and security. - Collaborate with Cisco TAC and third-party vendors for issue resolution and escalation management. - **Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer**: - Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and operations staff. - Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including runbooks, playbooks, and architectural guides related to DNAC operations. **Required Skills**: - Proven proficiency in Cisco DNAC and Software-Defined Access (SDA) fabric design, deployment, and operations. - Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE, network segmentation, and policy configuration. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex, enterprise-scale networks. - Familiarity with network automation, configuration templates, and best practices for operational efficiency. **Desired Skills**: - Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is preferred. - Completion of Designing Cisco Enterprise Networks (ENSLD) concentration exam is a plus. - Strong documentation and communication skills for effective cross-team collaboration.
