Sr. Executive Indirect Taxation Department: Finance & Accounts – Indirect Taxation Location: Sanand (Plant) Reporting To: Manager – Indirect Tax Job Purpose To manage all aspects of GST compliance , ensuring accurate and timely filings, reconciliations, and adherence to statutory requirements . The role requires strong technical knowledge of GST law, hands-on Oracle ERP experience, and the ability to handle audits, refunds, and regulatory interactions efficiently. Key Responsibilities Manage timely and accurate filing of all GST returns for Regular, SEZ Unit, ISD, and Expat GSTINs , including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-6, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, and others as applicable. Prepare and process GST refund claims for exports under LUT or with tax payment, and monitor refund status until realization. Perform monthly reconciliation of GSTR-2B with purchase registers and ensure proper utilization of Input Tax Credit (ITC). Share vendor mismatch details with the Accounts and Procurement teams. Review RCM (Reverse Charge Mechanism) applicability and ensure accurate documentation and compliance. Verify ITC registers with purchase data for correct credit availment in GSTR-3B. Review nature of expenses for RCM, capital goods, blocked credits, Place of Supply (POS), Rule 37, ITC reversal under Rule 42/43, and free supplies. Maintain control over tax-related general ledger (GL) accounts to ensure correct accounting of GST payables and input credits. Ensure correct classification of goods/services , HSN/SAC codes, and tax rates as per GST law. Maintain organized records of all GST-related documentation , including returns, refunds, appeals, and departmental correspondence, ensuring statutory archival requirements are met. Coordinate with external auditors by providing return data, ITC registers, and GL details. Assist in GST audits and assessments , preparing documentation and supporting representations before tax authorities. Draft and respond to GST notices, summons, and inquiries promptly and professionally. Prepare and circulate monthly GST MIS reports for management review. Collaborate with IT/Oracle ERP teams to automate GST processes, improve data accuracy, and implement required GST law updates. Support compliance related to SEZ, Customs (MOOWR Scheme), and Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) as applicable. Qualifications & Experience Education: B.Com (Inter CA) / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / PGDM (Indirect Taxation) Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on experience in GST compliance and indirect taxation , preferably within a manufacturing or SEZ environment. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of GST law and practical compliance. Proficiency in Oracle ERP systems . Analytical skills for reconciliation and tax data validation. Ability to manage audits and handle departmental communications. Excellent attention to detail and documentation discipline.
