About the job: A CCTV technician installs, maintains, and repairs surveillance systems, ensuring optimal security and functionality. This includes troubleshooting issues, performing routine maintenance, and providing guidance to users. Key responsibilities: a. Installation: 1. Setting up new equipment and connecting cabling. 2. Installing CCTV systems and access control solutions. 3. Understanding customer requirements and site conditions. 4. Integrating hardware for effective CCTV surveillance system functioning. b. Maintenance: 1. Performing routine servicing and maintenance. 2. Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical faults. 3. Repairing or replacing equipment as needed. c. Configuration: 1. Configuring CCTV systems to be compatible with software and wiring. 2. Evaluating signal quality and performance. 3. Providing training to customer personnel. d. Testing and Documentation: 1. Conducting full tests of the system to ensure it's working properly. 2. Producing written documentation. 3. Completing necessary paperwork and service sheets. e. Other: 1. Monitoring the surveillance system and responding to alarms. 2. Adhering to safety standards, guidelines, and directives. 3. Consulting with customers and providing technical support. 4. Using technical manuals from manufacturers to troubleshoot systems. 5. Selling new services to customers.
