Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and responsible Cashier to manage daily billing operations, process customer payments, maintain accurate transaction records, and ensure smooth cash handling at our restaurant. The ideal candidate should have good numerical skills, basic computer knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily cash transactions, billing, and payment collection.
• Generate customer bills using POS (Point of Sale) software.
• Process payments through cash, debit/credit cards, UPI, and other digital payment methods.
• Ensure accurate billing and verify all transactions before completing payments.
• Maintain daily cash registers and transaction records.
• Perform daily cash reconciliation and ensure the cash balance matches the sales report.
• Prepare daily sales and cash collection reports for management.
• Handle refunds, discounts, cancellations, and bill adjustments as per company policies.
• Coordinate with restaurant managers, service staff, and the accounts department regarding billing discrepancies.
• Ensure proper handling and security of cash and other payment instruments.
• Maintain records of bills, receipts, and payment settlements.
• Provide polite and professional service to customers during billing.
• Follow company policies, financial procedures, and internal control guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria

• Education: Minimum HSC (12th Pass); a graduate in Commerce or a related field is preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience as a cashier, preferably in restaurants, hotels, or the hospitality industry.
• Technical Skills: Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with POS billing software.
• Numerical Skills: Good calculation skills and attention to detail.
• Communication: Basic English and Hindi communication skills; knowledge of Marathi is an advantage.
• Personal Attributes: Honest, punctual, responsible, organized, and customer-friendly.
• Work Flexibility: Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or fine-dining establishment.
• Knowledge of restaurant billing systems and digital payment methods.
• Ability to manage cash accurately during busy service hours.
• Understanding of daily sales reconciliation and cash closing procedures.
• Ability to identify billing discrepancies and report irregularities promptly.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be trustworthy, accurate, and comfortable handling cash and digital transactions in a busy restaurant environment. Candidates with previous restaurant or hospitality experience will be preferred.

Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
