Job Description – Cardiac OT Scrub Nurse

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the cardiac operating theatre, instruments, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Assist the cardiac surgeon by performing sterile scrubbing, handling instruments, and maintaining strict aseptic technique.
• Ensure availability, functionality, and sterility of cardiac surgical equipment (e.g., grafts, cannulas, bypass instruments).
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures such as CABG, valve replacement, congenital surgeries, etc.
• Coordinate with perfusionists, anesthetists, and OT technicians for smooth workflow.
• Maintain accurate surgical counts and document intraoperative nursing records.
• Support postoperative transfer and ensure safe handover of the patient.

Skills & Qualifications:

• GNM/BSc Nursing with OT/cardiac surgery experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis, cardiac instruments, and emergency protocols.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly during critical situations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹41,227.44 per month
