CAM Programmer - SolidCAM (3 & 5 axis)

Role & responsibilities:

• Work with software tools like SolidCAM, Siemens NX to create programs for HMC, VMC (3Axis & 5Axis) and CNC Turning machines.
• Study of parameters like tool selection, feed rate, spindle speed of job setup.
• Great working knowledge and understanding of machine tooling, inserts, chip breaker function and proper usage of it.
• Define tool paths based on engineering drawings and specifications.
• Calculate cutting parameters such as feed rates, spindle speeds, and tool selection.
• Optimize machining cycle times by adjusting tool paths and parameters.
• Design tools and fixtures to improve machining accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide support to machinists during production, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operations.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Experience: 10-12 years
• Qualification: Diploma/B.E in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., SolidCAM, Siemens NX).
• Team Management.
• Understanding of machining processes, speeds, feeds, and tooling.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience in Aerospace domains preferred.
