CAD to BIM Engineer - Architectural and Structural

Role Overview: You will be joining Inkers Technology as a CAD to BIM Engineer, where your primary responsibility will be converting laser scan data into accurate Building Information Models (BIM). Your expertise in handling point cloud data and creating precise BIM models will play a crucial role in enhancing our client's construction and renovation projects. Key Responsibilities: - Process and analyze point cloud data obtained from laser scans to develop accurate 3D representations. - Utilize Autodesk Revit and specialized CAD to BIM software to convert point cloud data into detailed BIM models. - Conduct quality control checks to ensure the accuracy of models compared to scan data. - Identify and document existing building conditions and potential conflicts. - Generate detailed as-built documentation based on scan data. - Collaborate with field teams to address data collection issues and ensure comprehensive coverage. - Optimize workflows to facilitate efficient point cloud to BIM conversion. - Manage project schedules and maintain documentation. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. - 1-4 years of direct CAD to BIM experience. - Proficiency in processing point cloud data and creating BIM models. - Advanced skills in Autodesk Revit and point cloud processing software. - Experience with laser scanning technology and software like ReCap, CloudCompare, and Cyclone. - Strong grasp of architectural and engineering principles. - Ability to work with large point cloud datasets. - Demonstrated accuracy in as-built modeling.
