CAD Engineer - L3

As a skilled and innovative Mechanical Designer with a solid background in Research and Development (R&D), you will play a key role in designing, testing, and refining mechanical components and systems, bringing innovative concepts to life. Your strong analytical abilities, creative problem-solving skills, and passion for advancing mechanical design through research-driven insights will be essential in this role. - Design and Development: Showcase your proven ability to develop and design mechanical components, systems, and technical specifications. Utilize the Stage Gate process for product development to ensure smooth progress of design projects from concept to completion, maintaining adherence to timelines and quality standards. - 3D Modelling and CAD: Demonstrate proficiency in SolidWorks, encompassing part modeling, assembly, and drafting. Utilize SolidWorks PDM Works systems for traceability and version control. Generate BOMs and handle engineering change orders (ECOs). Possess a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and its application. - Design Analysis Skills: Utilize FEA software tools and other engineering analysis platforms to evaluate structural, thermal, and fatigue aspects of designs. Apply knowledge of welding standards (e.g., AWS, ISO) to integrate them into design and drafting processes. - Effective Communication Skills: Communicate fluently in both written and spoken English, clearly articulating design concepts, technical specifications, and project updates to cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaborative problem-solving.
