Learn more at: https://buyingsimplified.com Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Associate to join our team in Chennai. This role will support strategic procurement initiatives through spend analysis, taxonomy management, advanced reporting, and AI-driven insights. The ideal candidate will leverage technology and data analytics to optimize procurement processes and deliver measurable value to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, procurement trends, and areas for process optimization. Manage item categorization, taxonomy mapping, and classification systems for materials and services across multiple categories. Utilize artificial intelligence tools to map items with accurate taxonomy, enhance data quality, and improve classification accuracy. Develop comprehensive dashboards, reports, and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and other analytics tools to support data-driven decision-making. Support RFP/RFQ processes, supplier evaluation, and selection activities to ensure optimal vendor partnerships. Collaborate with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients to drive sourcing initiatives and procurement excellence. Ensure data accuracy and consistency across ERP systems, analytics platforms, and procurement databases. Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, SCM, or a related field 3 - 6 years of experience in procurement operations, preferably supporting US clients CIPS, CPSM, or Data Analytics certifications are highly desirable.
