Role Objective

Softcom is looking for a results-driven Business Development Manager to acquire new US clients and staffing partners. The individual will own the client acquisition process, from prospect outreach and relationship development to vendor onboarding, MSA execution and obtaining active staffing requirements.

AI-assisted lead generation is already available. This role is focused on converting researched prospects into business opportunities, not merely collecting leads.

Key Responsibilities1. Direct Client Acquisition

• Identify and establish relationships with US companies requiring IT staffing services.
• Reach hiring managers, talent acquisition leaders, HR leaders and procurement decision-makers.
• Conduct cold calls, personalized email campaigns and LinkedIn outreach.
• Present Softcom’s capabilities and develop long-term client relationships.
• Secure new accounts and obtain active staffing requirements.

2. Staffing Partner and Prime Contractor Development

• Build relationships with US staffing firms, recruitment vendors and prime contractors.
• Identify subcontracting and vendor partnership opportunities.
• Complete vendor registration and onboarding processes.
• Negotiate and coordinate MSAs and other required agreements.
• Develop recurring sources of qualified staffing requirements.

3. Opportunity Conversion

• Review qualified company and hiring intelligence generated through Softcom’s AI-assisted research process.
• Identify the appropriate decision-makers and personalize the outreach strategy.
• Schedule discovery meetings and conduct follow-ups.
• Move prospects through the pipeline: contacted, engaged, meeting, vendor onboarding, agreement signed and active requirements received.
• Coordinate with recruitment to ensure smooth handoff of requirements.

4. Pipeline Management and Reporting

• Maintain an accurate prospect and opportunity tracker.
• Record all outreach, conversations, meetings, follow-ups and next steps.
• Provide daily activity reports and weekly pipeline reviews.
• Report measurable progress in client acquisition, agreements, active requirements and revenue potential.

Initial Performance Expectations

• 15–20 personalized emails per working day.
• 15–20 LinkedIn outreach activities per working day.
• 15–25 cold calls per working day.
• 3–5 meaningful prospect conversations per day as an initial target.
• 4–6 qualified client meetings during the first 30 days.
• Build a measurable pipeline of new client and staffing-partner opportunities.
• Work toward obtaining 1–2 genuine staffing requirements within the first 30 days, recognizing that results depend on the sales cycle and market response.

Targets will be reviewed against lead quality, conversion rates and actual progress.

Required Experience and Skills

• Proven experience in US IT staffing business development or new client acquisition.
• Experience with cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn prospecting and relationship building.
• Familiarity with US staffing vendors, direct clients and vendor onboarding processes.
• Understanding of staffing agreements, MSAs, subcontracting and staffing requirements.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Strong follow-up discipline, negotiation skills and ability to handle rejection.
• Ability to work independently and meet measurable targets.

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing relationships with US staffing companies or direct clients.
• Experience with prime contractors, federal contractors, MSPs or VMS programs.
• Experience using CRM systems, LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar sales tools.

Success Measures

The successful candidate will be evaluated on qualified meetings, new client relationships, vendor onboarding, executed agreements, active staffing requirements and eventual revenue—not simply the number of calls or emails sent.

This is a client acquisition role. The primary responsibility is to bring new business to Softcom.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
