About the Role

We are looking for an energetic, ambitious, and target-driven Business Development Manager – School Sales to drive business growth by promoting educational books, digital learning solutions, ERP, LMS, assessment platforms, and school management software.

The ideal candidate will identify new school business opportunities, conduct field visits, present product demonstrations, build relationships with school decision-makers, and convert prospects into long-term customers.

This is a field-oriented B2B sales role requiring excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned school territories.
• Conduct regular school visits and meet Principals, Directors, Management, HODs, Academic Coordinators, and Teachers.
• Present and demonstrate educational books, digital learning platforms, ERP, LMS, and other school solutions.
• Distribute sample books, brochures, and product-related materials.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable products and solutions.
• Generate leads through field visits, networking, referrals, and cold calling.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with school management and key stakeholders.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, from lead generation and follow-ups to negotiation and deal closure.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales pipelines, and activity reports in CRM.
• Coordinate with internal teams for quotations, delivery, onboarding, implementation, and customer support.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback.
• Drive customer retention, repeat business, referrals, and collections.

Experience & Qualifications

• 2–8 years of experience in Field Sales, Business Development, or Institutional Sales.
• Experience in selling educational books, EdTech products, ERP, LMS, SaaS, or school management software is preferred.
• Experience working with schools or educational institutions will be an added advantage.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
• MBA in Marketing or Sales is preferred but not mandatory.

Travel Requirements

• Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
• Valid driving license is required.
• Own two-wheeler or four-wheeler is preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Number of school visits completed.
• Number of product demonstrations conducted.
• Sample books and product materials distributed.
• Qualified leads generated.
• Lead follow-up and conversion rate.
• Number of new schools acquired.
• Sales revenue generated against targets.
• Payment collection performance.
• Customer retention and repeat business.
