Business Development Manager, GeM Tenders & Industrial B2B Sales

The role

This is a B2B Sales Manager role in which you own the full B2B sales cycle for both government and private business across India, for our Proudtc non-sparking tools. These tools are used in oil and gas, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. You will report to the Sales Head.

Your day-to-day work covers four areas:

• Government and tender sales: You find relevant tenders on GeM and other portals, decide which ones to bid on, and manage each bid through clarifications, EMD, bank guarantees and award. You keep a tender tracker and review wins and losses with the Sales Head.
• Private industrial accounts: You build and maintain relationships with purchase, technical and HSE teams at plants that buy our tools. You plan account coverage, follow up on enquiries and convert them into repeat orders.
• Dealers and channel: You appoint, train and review dealers and distributors across territories, set their targets, and support them with quotations and leads.
• Forecast and coordination: You give Production, Quality and Finance a monthly sales forecast they can plan against. You coordinate dispatch timelines, bank guarantees and payment follow-up for each order.

You take each deal from first enquiry to a delivered and paid order, and you are accountable for the revenue and order-book targets set by the Sales Head.

What you bring (must-have)

• 3 to 5 years in B2B sales, with some management responsibility, ideally in industrial tools, safety products or engineering goods.
• Hands-on GeM bidding experience.
• Experience selling to both PSUs and private plants, and knowing how the two differ on price, paperwork and timing.
• Working knowledge of Excel for pipelines and trackers, and experience preparing quotations and sales orders.
