Role Overview
We are looking for an active, organised and confident Business Development & Operations Intern.
This is a multi-functional startup role. The selected candidate will support business development, monitor internal work, coordinate with team members, manage selected company social-media channels, assist with hiring and communicate with influencers.
This position is suitable for someone who wants practical exposure to how a growing digital-marketing agency operates.
Key Responsibilities1. Team Coordination and Reporting
- Monitor daily tasks assigned to different team members
- Follow up on pending work and deadlines
- Collect work-status updates from the team
- Maintain task trackers and project sheets
- Identify delays and communicate them to the manager
- Prepare daily and weekly work-status reports
- Support the manager in coordinating internal agency operations
- Ensure approved work moves to the next stage on time
2. Company Social Media and Content
- Manage one or two SwanHaus Media-related social-media channels
- Research relevant content topics and trends
- Suggest content ideas for the agency
- Prepare basic captions, post copy and content briefs
- Coordinate with designers and video editors
- Schedule and publish approved content
- Monitor comments, enquiries and basic account activity
- Maintain a simple content calendar
3. Business Development and Lead Generation
- Research potential clients and business opportunities
- Generate leads through Google, LinkedIn, Instagram, email and other platforms
- Contact business owners and decision-makers
- Introduce SwanHaus Media and its services
- Make initial pitching and follow-up calls
- Understand basic client requirements
- Schedule qualified meetings for the manager
- Maintain lead details and follow-up status
- Support proposal coordination
- Follow up professionally until the lead moves to the next stage
4. Influencer Coordination
- Research influencers relevant to existing campaigns
- Contact influencers through calls, messages and email
- Collect their profiles, audience details and commercial charges
- Coordinate barter and paid collaborations
- Negotiate within the approved campaign budget
- Shortlist suitable influencers for manager approval
- Finalise timelines, deliverables and posting requirements
- Follow up until the agreed content is posted
- Maintain influencer campaign records
5. Recruitment Support
- Publish approved job openings on relevant platforms
- Review incoming applications
- Conduct the first screening call with candidates
- Check basic experience, communication, salary expectations and availability
- Shortlist suitable candidates for the manager
- Schedule interviews and send reminders
- Maintain candidate and interview-status trackers
Candidate Requirements
- Pursuing or completed BBA, MBA or a related degree
- Freshers are welcome to apply
- Good communication skills in English and Telugu
- Hindi communication is an added advantage
- Confidence in making calls and speaking with new people
- Basic understanding of social media and digital marketing
- Ability to write simple captions, messages and emails
- Comfortable handling different responsibilities in a startup
- Good follow-up and coordination skills
- Basic knowledge of Google Sheets, Docs and presentations
- Ability to organise tasks and meet deadlines
- Willingness to learn business development, marketing and operations
