• Key responsibilities
• Staff management: Allocate work to laborers, provide training and supervision, and ensure compliance with biosecurity procedures.
• Bird health and welfare:
• Monitor bird health and ensure proper feeding, watering, and lighting.
• Follow and update vaccination schedules accurately.
• Enforce biosecurity measures to maintain flock health.
• Monitor floor, feeding, and drinking space to ensure it meets capacity needs.
• Farm operations and maintenance:
• Oversee daily tasks like egg collection, selection (rejection of cracked eggs), and cleaning.
• Ensure the correct quantity of feed is distributed daily.
• Maintain the required stock of medicines and supplies.
• Perform and coordinate maintenance and repair of farm equipment and facilities.
• Record keeping and reporting:
• Prepare and update daily reports, including stock details, egg production, and feed consumption.
• Keep accurate records related to production, health, and finances.
