Job Description

Role Overview: You will lead the planning, development, and execution of comprehensive test plans for firmware components. Your role will involve validating various firmware elements such as BMC (Baseboard Management Controller), SDK (Software Development Kit), ONIE (Open Network Install Environment), ONL (Open Network Linux), BIOS, and Diagnostics. Additionally, you will design and implement automated test frameworks and scripts to enhance efficiency and coverage. Identifying, reproducing, and reporting defects with clear documentation will be part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with hardware, software, and system engineering teams is essential to ensure seamless integration and quality. Furthermore, mentoring junior engineers and contributing to team growth and development are key aspects of the role. Driving continuous improvement in testing methodologies, tools, and processes will also be a part of your day-to-day tasks. Participation in root cause analysis of issues and providing actionable feedback to development is expected from you. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the planning, development, and execution of comprehensive test plans for firmware components - Validate various firmware elements including BMC, SDK, ONIE, ONL, BIOS, and Diagnostics - Design and implement automated test frameworks and scripts for improved efficiency and coverage - Identify, reproduce, and report defects with clear and concise documentation - Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, and system engineering teams - Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth and development of the team - Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies, tools, and processes - Participate in root cause analysis of issues and provide actionable feedback to development Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field - 4 to 10 years of experience in firmware testing & validation - Proven expertise in testing and validating BMC, SDK, ONIE, ONL, BIOS, and Diagnostics - Strong proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation - Extensive experience with automation and scripting, specifically Python with Pytest, Robot, and Selenium frameworks - Solid understanding of hardware-software interaction and embedded systems architecture - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate effectively (Note: No additional details of the company were present in the provided job description),
