Job Description: Estimation Engineer Responsibilities · Prepare detailed cost estimates for LV systems (120 V) including lighting & power. · Hands on experience in preparing BOQ & cost estimates from electrical wiring layouts, SLDs. · Able to extract boq & costs from panel schedule. · Calculate accurate quantities & cost break ups for transformers, cables, cable trays, ladders, conduits & other supports. · Accurate estimation of quantities & costs from earthing layouts, lightning conductors. · Working knowledge in estimating cost of utilities including civil & structural works. · Able to independently perform cost break-up analysis. · Strong in calculating dry cost, costs for labour, machinery & indirect costs associated with installation of a system. · Able to understand the technical specifications from input drawings. · Able to modify cost estimates as per revised design & prepare revised estimates. · Coordination and support in estimation of ELV systems is advantageous. · Develop and maintain estimation templates and databases. · Assist in project budgeting and scheduling. · Able to contact vendors & find cost of new products. · Working knowledge of VAT , CESS & GST. Experience of working in American projects is an advantage. · Strong in MS Excel, Bluebeam or Candy / Itwo CostX. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in EEE or ECE / IT. Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in estimation & costing of LV systems. Strong knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards. Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office Suite. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Role: The primary responsibility for this role is to work on end-to-end presales engineering activities of Electronics Security opportunities various verticals (e.g., Infrastructure, Industries, Airports, Key Accounts, etc.). You will be handling techno-Commercial activities of the projects covering various ELV systems such as CCTV Surveillance & Security System, Access Control System, Public Address System, Parking Management System, Structured Cabling System, network Infrastructure etc. You should own the technical consideration and costing accuracy to win the job. How you will do it: · Review the project inputs and project intake form shared by the BD / Sales. · Analyze the requirement and initiate the Kick-off call with BD/Sales after getting GO approval and time frame. · Understand the Scope of work related to the final deliverables and pricing. · Prepare designs on given floor plans to arrive with the BOQ; in case BOQ is unavailable. · Identify potential issues/risks and proactively bring them to the customer's knowledge and help to mitigate the identified risks. · Initiate the discussion with OEMs & subcontractors and get the right solution and proposal from OEMs. · Analyze the proposal and commercials received from the OEM and verify the same based on the past data and benchmark costing available in the Database. · Upon completion of cost comparison, prepare the optimized techno-commercial Costing sheet, Proposal, and Compliance Statements. · Once the deliverables are ready, perform Self QC and get the 2nd level QC done by the Delivery Manager. Eventually, submit the deliverables to the BD/Sales. · Update the Database regularly, and complete timesheet & assigned training on time. · Actively negotiate and follow up with OEMs and Internal OPS/ Post Sales team to get the right kind of prices for the project. · Regularly participate in the weekly call with the business team. · Actively derive the strategy for increasing the win rate. · Align with Organization KPIs such as Quality, OTD, Win rate, Productivity, etc. What we look for · Must have BE (Electrical / Electronics / Electronics & Communication/Instrumentation) · Must have 5+ years of relevant experience in ELV Systems domains. · Strong knowledge of ELV & ICT Systems (CCTV, Access Control, PAVA, Intrusion Detection Systems, Intercom Systems, Gate Barriers, Car parking system, Structured Cabling, Network Switches, etc.) · Must have India projects' presales and estimation experience on various verticals (Infrastructure, Health Care, Airports, Industries, Data Centers, etc.). · Design know-how of the ELV & ICT Systems. · Capable of understanding ELV Systems specifications and doing product selections along with the deviation/compliance statements. · Must be able to work on complex costing sheets covering Material, Engineering, Operations, and Subcon costs. · Skill in articulating offered solutions in a structured way through high-standard technical proposal documents. · Must be a quick learner & keen on problem-solving techniques. · Proficient in written and verbal communication. · Must be a good team player. Preferred · Work experience in all leading access control products (e.g., Lenel, HID, Bosch, Honeywell, etc.) · Work experience in all leading CCTV products (e.g., Milestone, Genetec, Axis, Hanwha, American dynamics etc.) · PAVA, Structured Cabling and Network infrastructure know-how is a must. · Knowledge of AutoCAD, Visio, and MS Excel. · Security and Software product certifications will be added advantage.
