Responsibilities * Performing detailed cost estimation for projects, considering labor, materials, equipment, and other relevant factors. Analyzing engineering drawings and specifications to derive quantities and define specifications for different types of work. Preparing accurate cost estimates as a vital element for project bidding and execution. Understanding current market prices and competitive tactics to ensure cost-effective estimations. Preparing and certifying bills of quantities (BOQ) based on project specifications and drawings. Preparing and processing subcontractor bills. Taking measurements from the site engineer and verifying quantities. Preparing and certifying bar bending schedules. Preparing monthly reconciliation statements of building materials. Maintaining accurate records of project costs, quantities, and billing information. Working closely with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders for accurate and timely billing. Resolving billing discrepancies and disputes promptly. Ensuring that all billing milestones are met based on the project schedule and deliverables. Identifying and preparing for extra items or variations in the project scope. Back-to-back contractor billing and sub-contractor billing. Checking and certifying bills and invoices from vendors and contractors. Following up with the accounts department for payments. Key skills : Estimation and cost analysis, Advanced Excel functions, Proficiency in MS Excel, Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines, Experience with commercial and residential projects
