As a BigID Data Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our Cybersecurity team by leveraging the BigID platform to identify, classify, and manage sensitive data across our enterprise landscape. Your responsibilities will include deploying and configuring BigID to scan structured and unstructured data sources, classifying sensitive data such as PII, PHI, PCI, secrets, and toxic combinations, and implementing automated actions for policy enforcement and risk mitigation. You will also be responsible for generating reports and dashboards using BigID's Data Explorer, as well as supporting AI model data discovery and risk assessment. To excel in this role, you should possess 6-8 years of experience in data governance, cybersecurity, or privacy, with hands-on experience working with BigID. Additionally, familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and data lakes is essential. A strong understanding of privacy regulations, data protection frameworks, and excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills are also required. The ideal candidate for this position will have a detail-oriented approach towards data discovery and classification, with the ability to customize classifiers and policies to align with business and regulatory needs. You will be expected to collaborate with IT and data owners to validate discovered assets, support privacy and compliance initiatives, and provide insights for data minimization and retention strategies.
