BI Consultant

Responsibilities :

A day in the life of a BI consultant at Infosys involves:

Engaging with customers on a regular basis and providing them with the best-in-class IT consulting services and solutions

Collaborating with client's business users and IT stakeholders, defining the to-be processes and producing detailed functional and technical design specifications based on requirements

Actively working with and aiding the project team in different phases of the project including problem definition, planning and roadmap definition, fit-gap analysis, effort estimation, solution design and development

Exploring alternatives to the current solutions through research that includes literature surveys, working with the internal Infosys Center of Excellence (COE) groups, engaging with alliance partners or product vendors, and building proof of concepts (POCs)

Configuring and building IT systems or software analysis of issues, diagnosing the root-cause of such issues, seeking clarifications, and then identify and shortlist solution alternatives If you think you have the skills to help our clients navigate their next in their digital transformation journey while being part of a strong value-driven organization, this is the place for you!

Additional Responsibilities:

Hands-on experience with other reporting tools like BI Publisher, OTBI, Power BI, or Tableau will be of added value

An ideal candidate would possess knowledge of ETL tools like ODI or Informatica.

Awareness of the latest technologies and trends in the field of analytics.

Working experience or familiarity with technologies like Snowflake or Databricks will be a plus but it's not a must for this role

Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires travel and/ or relocation within the country.

Technical and Professional Requirements:

We are looking for candidates having a minimum of 4 years experience in designing, developing and implementing reporting solutions using Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), OAS or OBIEE with an overall 5+ years of IT industry experience.

The candidate must have at least a year of hands-on experience with Oracle FAW or FDI and should be good at deriving insights from data

The candidate must have good knowledge and understanding of data and semantic modeling concepts

The candidate must possess work experience in either implementing and/ or supporting large BI systems or solutions

The candidate should have the ability to understand business and functional requirements and translate them into design specifications

Candidate should also demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving skills

Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with team members across geographical locations
