Key Responsibilities: 1. Teaching and Learning Support Collaborate with IB programme coordinators and classroom teachers to integrate information literacy and research skills into the curriculum. Teach students how to locate, evaluate, and use information effectively and ethically. Promote inquiry-based learning aligned with IB Approaches. Lead lessons related to library orientation, digital citizenship, media literacy, and academic honesty. 2. Resource Management Develop and manage a diverse, inclusive, and age-appropriate collection of print and digital resources aligned with IB learner needs. Maintain an up-to-date cataloging and circulation system. Oversee library budgets and acquisitions in collaboration with leadership. Ensure the library is a welcoming, accessible, and inclusive space for the school community. 3. IB Curriculum Alignment Support the implementation of the IB philosophy across the PYP, MYP, and/or DP. Assist students and staff with extended essay research (DP), Personal Project (MYP), and Exhibition (PYP). Promote academic integrity and the use of citation tools such as MLA/APA. Encourage inquiry, intercultural understanding, and global perspectives in library programming. 4. Collaboration and Professional Development Collaborate with teaching staff to support unit planning and transdisciplinary learning. Lead or participate in professional development related to literacy, technology integration, and inquiry. Keep abreast of current trends in education, technology, and library sciences. 5. Technology Integration Support students and staff in the use of digital tools and resources for learning and research. Evaluate and promote digital platforms, databases, and e-resources aligned with IB learning goals. Provide training in academic research tools, citation management, and responsible online behavior. To provide one-on-one academic and behavioral support to a designated student during the school day, helping them access the IB curriculum, participate in class activities, and develop independence in an inclusive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the student during lessons, transitions, and school routines. Reinforce teacher instructions and assist with focus, task completion, and behavior. Encourage the student’s independence and social interaction. Collaborate with the classroom teacher and SEN coordinator to implement support strategies. Provide daily feedback on progress and challenges. Maintain confidentiality and follow school inclusion policies. Qualifications: Experience working with children with learning or behavioral needs.
