Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Banquet Manager to lead operations at our premium banquet hall. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless event execution, maintaining exceptional client satisfaction, and driving sales. Success in this position means managing end-to-end operations efficiently, fostering a high-performing team, and consistently exceeding client expectations. What Success Looks Like: Banquet operations are run smoothly with a high degree of professionalism and punctuality. Monthly and quarterly sales targets are met or exceeded through lead conversions and repeat business. Clients consistently report high satisfaction post-event. The team operates cohesively under clear leadership, with minimal escalations. Inventory, vendors, and service standards are streamlined to reduce costs and enhance quality. This is a leadership role , reporting directly to the owner. The Banquet Manager is at the forefront of client interaction, revenue generation, and event execution. Your performance directly influences brand reputation and business growth. Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the banquet facility, including space readiness, cleanliness, and setup. Manage and respond to client inquiries, conduct venue tours, and close bookings. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and suppliers. Plan, coordinate, and execute events from start to finish, ensuring smooth delivery. Generate leads through networking, local outreach, and referral management. Drive business development strategies to attract new clientele. Monitor food and beverage service standards; coordinate with catering teams. Resolve issues or complaints promptly and professionally, maintaining client goodwill. Prepare performance and sales reports for management. Qualifications Experience: Minimum 5–10 years in banquet or hotel management. Education: Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or related field (preferred). Sales Acumen: Proven track record of closing high-ticket sales and upselling services. Leadership Skills: Strong team management and conflict resolution abilities. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication in English, Hindi, and Bengali. Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word); familiarity with event management software is a plus. Food & Beverage Knowledge: Deep understanding of cuisines, menu planning, and service styles. Availability: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per event schedules. Additional Requirements Dress Code: Professional attire is mandatory at all times on duty. Duty Hours: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Monday to Saturday). Work Week: 6 working days per week (Sunday is the weekly off, unless an event is scheduled). Punctuality & Discipline: Timeliness and discipline are critical to maintaining operational standards.
