Backup Administration- Data Security

As an experienced professional with over 15 years of overall experience and more than 10 years of relevant experience, you will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and security of our backup systems. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the backup processes for BC0 and BC1 applications, ensuring that backups are scheduled and tested regularly. You will be tasked with restoring database backups and confirming their usability to guarantee seamless operations in case of data loss. Your focus will primarily be on the database environment, excluding front-end and compute servers. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing ransomware protection measures for backups by identifying and segregating any infected copies that may compromise the system's security. Furthermore, you will be required to establish retention and deletion controls for data, with a specific emphasis on BC0 applications. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will be essential in safeguarding our data assets and ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Your expertise in backup systems such as Veritas, HP, Dell, or Azure cloud, as well as backup and restoration testing, will be crucial in fulfilling these responsibilities effectively.
