Backend Java developer

As a Senior Java Developer at Hyland Software, you will be responsible for developing complex code based on functional specifications, ensuring alignment with established standards. You will translate software requirements into design specifications, conduct peer code reviews, and analyze the broader impact of software changes. Your role will involve testing code to verify technical specifications and functionality before submission for review, as well as creating and applying automated tests. You will play a key role in influencing and providing technical guidance to team members, contributing to the implementation of delivery pipelines, and identifying opportunities for internal process improvements. Additionally, you will research and resolve complex escalations related to production issues or software code, while ensuring compliance with development standards and industry practices. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in programming in Java, along with proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot, and knowledge of Clean Coding, TDD, Object Orienting, SOLID principles, relational databases, CI/CD, and containerization. Experience with Cloud, Microservice Architecture, SOA, service bus pattern, data structures, algorithms, and software design is essential.
