Backend Developer - Node.js/Express.js

As a Backend Engineer at Techworks, you will play a crucial role in managing the efficient interchange of data between the server and users. Your primary focus will involve developing and maintaining server-side logic, designing and managing databases, and ensuring the high performance, scalability, and responsiveness of our application. You will be responsible for developing core backend services, APIs, and integrating them with the headless CMS. Additionally, you will implement multi-tenancy, user management, and content distribution logic. Handling media uploads, video transcoding (including 4K content), and managing content play order will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should have proficiency in backend skills such as Node.js, Socket.IO, MySQL, Postgres, and Docker. Experience with cloud services like AWS and Digital Ocean is preferred. Knowledge of MQTT, Firebase, or Supabase would be beneficial. Python skills are considered good to have but not mandatory. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A minimum of 4 years of backend development experience is required. You should have demonstrable expertise in web application development, particularly with Node.js and Express.js. Familiarity with database technologies, agile development methodologies, microservices architecture, and Docker is essential. Strong problem-solving and management skills are desired for this role.
