Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Backend Architect to lead the design and development of our scalable, high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Java, Microservices architecture, GraphQL, and SQL queries, with experience in SAP integration, Swagger API documentation, and monitoring tools like Datadog and CloudWatch. This role involves driving technical decisions, mentoring teams, and ensuring alignment with business goals. Key Responsibilities Architect and Design: Design scalable and resilient backend architectures using Java and Microservices. Lead the adoption of best practices in coding, performance optimization, and security. Implementation: Develop high-quality backend services and APIs using GraphQL and REST. Optimize and maintain complex SQL queries and database schemas for performance and reliability. Define and maintain comprehensive Swagger API documentation for all backend services. Collaboration: Work closely with SAP teams to integrate backend systems with ERP workflows and other enterprise tools. Collaborate with product teams, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions. Mentor and guide a team of backend developers, fostering technical growth. Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Set up and manage system monitoring tools like Datadog and AWS CloudWatch for real-time performance tracking and issue detection. Monitor system performance and resolve any issues or bottlenecks proactively. Technology Leadership: Research and evaluate new technologies to improve scalability, performance, and development efficiency. Define technical standards and best practices across the backend ecosystem. Required Skills and Qualifications Core Expertise: Experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java. Proven experience in designing and implementing Microservices architectures. Expertise in SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) with the ability to write complex queries and optimize them for performance. Proficiency in GraphQL API design and implementation. Monitoring and Integration: Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog and AWS CloudWatch. Hands-on experience with SAP integration into enterprise systems. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ). Experience with Swagger for API documentation. Knowledge of cloud platforms (like AWS) and container orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Solid grasp of data modeling and database optimization techniques. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts effectively.
