Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Back End Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in backend services, and database management. With 3 to 5 years of industry experience, the candidate should be well-versed in Python for backend services as well as different data base management applications. Responsibilities : Back-end Services: Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs using Python or other similar technologies. Implement robust and scalable solutions to handle data processing, storage, and retrieval. Database Management: Possess a good understanding of database systems and demonstrate proficiency in managing relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB). Full Stack Integration: Work on end-to-end feature development, from conception to deployment, ensuring smooth interaction between the front-end and back-end components. Testing and Debugging: Conduct thorough testing of applications to identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and ensure high-quality deliverables. Code Optimization and Performance: Continuously improve application performance and optimize code for efficiency, scalability, and maintainability. Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to understand project requirements and deliver solutions on time. Qualifications : Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Proven 3 to 5 years of professional experience as a Back End Developer, with a portfolio of successful projects. Strong proficiency in backend services using Python. Solid understanding of database management and experience working with managing relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB). Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to adapt and learn quickly, keeping up with emerging technologies and industry trends. Characteristics of a forward thinker and self- starter Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry is a plus. Preferred (but not mandatory): Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
