Azure Synapse Technical Lead-Remote

As an Azure Synapse Technical Lead (Sr.Hands-On Developer) working remotely, you will be responsible for supervising the entire lifecycle of a data mart. This includes conducting data requirement analysis, designing, and developing Azure Synapse pipelines. Your role will also involve setting up workflows and dependency flows to ensure end-to-end system integrity. Your key responsibilities will include designing and developing pipelines from scratch based on existing requirements, analyzing existing report queries and database procedures/functions in SQL Server, as well as enhancing and optimizing existing Synapse pipelines for improved performance and high data quality. You will also be tasked with setting up dependencies between external and internal job processes, developing and customizing Synapse pipelines according to end-user requirements, and creating ETL/ELT load processes by analyzing source system data structures and fields. In addition, you will be required to extract data from source systems using big data technologies like Spark Pool, create data mapping documentation with transformation rules, default values, and selection criteria, and implement, program, and configure transformation rules along with structure/field/value mapping. It will be your responsibility to evaluate the data's quality in the data warehouse/Data Mart and manage source code control, Pull Requests, and Code Reviews. To be successful in this role, you should possess 8 to 12 years of experience in Data Warehouse development, with a minimum of 3-5 years in Azure Synapse, SQL Data Warehouse, or Dedicated SQL Pool. Hands-on ETL coding experience in at least 2 projects as a Team Member or Team Lead, focusing on ETL coding using Azure Synapse, SQL Data Warehouse, or Dedicated SQL Pool is required. You should also have experience in designing and developing Synapse Pipelines for STAR Schemas in at least 2 projects and proficiency in working with relational and big data technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, SQL Pool, and Spark Pool. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with business teams using business language, knowledge of Project Management Methodologies and principles, as well as experience with billing and revenue management will be beneficial in this role.,
