Job Description

You are an experienced Core SQL Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for managing and maintaining critical SQL Server databases. Your role involves ensuring data integrity, system availability, and optimizing performance through database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in managing SQL Server databases. Your expertise should include a deep understanding of SQL Server architecture, T-SQL scripting, database performance tuning, and optimization techniques. Experience with high availability and disaster recovery setups such as Always On and failover clustering is necessary. You should be familiar with backup and recovery tools, security protocols, and compliance frameworks for database systems. Possessing the certification of Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or similar is required. Additionally, experience with cloud-based SQL services like Azure SQL Database and AWS RDS, exposure to monitoring tools such as Redgate, SolarWinds DPA, or SQL Sentry, and understanding of DevOps practices and database automation tools are expected. Knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, and Power BI for ETL and reporting tasks, as well as experience with other databases like MySQL and MongoDB, will be beneficial.
