AWS-Scala Developer (Big Data)

As a Senior Big Data Engineer specializing in AWS and Scala, you will be responsible for designing, architecting, and implementing scalable data engineering solutions. Your role will involve building and optimizing Big Data architectures using AWS services for large-scale data processing, developing data pipelines with Spark (Scala), and operationalizing data engineering and analytics platforms. You will work on real-time streaming solutions using Kafka and AWS Kinesis, support ML model operationalization on AWS, and ensure high-quality, reliable data delivery for business needs by analyzing data flows and writing efficient SQL queries. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to provide technical leadership, mentor team members, and enhance data engineering capabilities. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to ensure scalability, performance, and security of data solutions is also a key part of the role. The ideal candidate for this position should have 5+ years of hands-on experience in Big Data Technologies, specifically AWS, Scala, Hadoop, and Spark. Proven expertise in Spark with Scala is mandatory, along with practical experience in various AWS services such as EMR, Glue, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, API Gateway, Athena, and Lake Formation.
