AWS Glue Python Developer

As an AWS Glue Python Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing efficient data models, optimizing ETL processes, and leveraging AWS services to build and maintain data pipelines. Your expertise in SQL, Python, and AWS technologies will be key in ensuring data accuracy, performance, and automation. Additionally, your familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools and experience with PySpark for big data processing will be highly beneficial. Strong collaboration and documentation skills will enable you to deliver high-quality data solutions effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement efficient data models for optimal performance. - Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading. - Write complex SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis. - Develop and maintain Python scripts and applications for data processing and automation. - Leverage AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, and Athena for building and maintaining data pipelines. - Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. - Knowledge of PySpark for big data processing and analysis. - Utilize Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration on data engineering projects. - Identify and implement optimizations for data processing pipelines to enhance efficiency. - Implement data quality checks and validation procedures to maintain data integrity. - Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions. - Maintain comprehensive documentation for all data engineering processes and projects. Qualifications: - 4-5 years of experience in data engineering roles, with a focus on AWS technologies. - Proficiency in data modelling, SQL, and Python. - Expertise in AWS services for data processing, extract transform and load. - Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools. - Experience with PySpark and big data processing is a plus. - Strong version control skills using Git and GitHub. - Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and in a team, taking ownership of projects and delivering on time.
