Job Description - AWS DevOps Engineer

Position:

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipeline development, and containerization technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), deployment automation, and monitoring tools.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, and maintain scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation).
Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Configure and monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security.
Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline deployment processes.
Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and production issues.
Implement security best practices, backup strategies, and disaster recovery solutions.
Maintain system documentation and operational procedures.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with
AWS Cloud Services
(EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch).
Experience in
CI/CD tools
such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
Expertise in
Terraform
and/or AWS CloudFormation.
Strong knowledge of
Docker
and
Kubernetes (EKS)
.
Experience with version control systems such as
Git
.
Good understanding of Linux administration and shell scripting (Bash/Python).
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
Knowledge of networking concepts, security groups, load balancers, and DNS.

Preferred Skills

Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible.
Knowledge of serverless architecture using AWS Lambda.
Familiarity with security best practices and DevSecOps.
Exposure to Kafka, Redis, or other distributed systems.
AWS Certifications (AWS Certified Developer/Cloud Practitioner/Solutions Architect/DevOps Engineer) will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
